Mahindra introduced its flagship SUV700 last October, followed by the new Scorpio N, and now the spotlight is on the 2024 Mahindra Bolero. The anticipation is high for its launch in the Indian market, albeit its boxy presence remains unchanged. The Bolero has been a favorite among Indian consumers for almost two decades.
Expected Upgrades
The 2024 Mahindra Bolero is expected to receive several updates. A new twin-pixel badge in the front, modified electric grille, and revised fog lights are among the anticipated changes. Additionally, the rear section may sport new emblems, and adjustments to the taillights’ illumination pattern are probable. However, the overall side profile is likely to retain its current design with minimal alterations.
Features and Price
In terms of features, the new Bolero will offer a range of amenities including micro-hybrid technology, touchscreen infotainment system, ABS, EBD, airbags, cruise control, and the Blue Sense application. The price is expected to start from 9.62 lakhs INR.
Launch and Delivery
The launch of the new Bolero is expected in October-November, just in time for the festive season. Mahindra also plans to commence Scorpio-N deliveries from September 26th. A teaser video for the new XUV300 facelift has also been released, hinting at exterior changes, new features, and a powerful turbocharged gasoline engine.
Bolero Lineup
Under the Bolero brand, Mahindra offers two SUVs: the Bolero Classic and the Bolero Nio. The Bolero Classic, launched in 2000, has become synonymous with rural areas across the country. It comes equipped with a diesel engine delivering 55.9 kilowatts of power and features such as airbags, ABS, Bluetooth-connected music system, and BS-6 engine. The starting price is 9.78 lakhs INR.
Engine
The 2024 Mahindra Bolero will retain the same 1.5-liter engine from the previous model, generating maximum power of 75 bhp and torque of 210 Nm. It will come with a three-cylinder gas burner paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
